Our story
Ten years of shipping work we stand behind
Origin started in 2015 as two people and a shared frustration: too many websites looked impressive in a case study and fell apart the moment a real team had to run them.
So we built the studio around the opposite idea. Everything we make is meant to be handed over — documented, consistent, and simple enough that the person who inherits it can keep it good. That principle has taken us from a spare room to a distributed team of twelve, working with clients on three continents.

How we got here
2015
Two people, one room
We took our first client — a local bakery — and learned more from that project than from the five years before it.
2018
The systems turn
We stopped selling pages and started selling design systems. Projects got faster and handovers stopped hurting.
2021
Going distributed
The team spread across four countries. We rewrote how we work so that async became the default, not the exception.
2024
Products of our own
We began packaging what we had learned into themes and tooling — Origin is the first of them.
